I. Am. So. Disappointed.

I had class at one of my smaller schools today, one station over. The classes went quite smoothly even though seeing the students' blank faces at my winter vacation plans made me a bit embarrassed. Yes, your ALT has some very extreme interests >_>; I only had two classes but I spent the rest of the time just talking in the teacher's room or writing on my laptop. It was quite fun, though now I think that the head of student discipline thinks I'm quite lazy when it comes to relationships XDD; I am but, er, yeah *cough* I did have the school nurse agree with me that a good voice in a man is important, and its even more important that it matches his looks/personality XDD; The two of them agreed that I would be the type to get married quickly.

...I've had quite a few people say that to me. WHY?!?!

Anyway, while waiting at the station on the way back, I got to play with some stray cats. One of them kept running away from me but would keep coming closer when it thought I wasn't looking, lol. Another one was sleeping so contently in the sun until it felt my presence? And then just came over to get petted. So cute ;__; Seeing cats curled up like that one was just makes me happy inside~

I stopped by Animate after getting off the train and picked up Voice Animage and Kuroshitsuji Vol.8. While I was looking for Voice Animage, there was a guy standing in front of the section, and I was just going to reach around him when he turned around. And hello, it's one of my students!! LOL. He's one of my huge seiyuu fan students, and I asked him why he was there (not in uniform) and he said that club had been canceled that day so he came to look around. He's really fun to talk to XD; He ended up buying Suzumiya Haruhi's re-released chara cd and then Kuroshitsuji 8 as well, when he saw that it came with a bookmark when I bought it, lol. He also applied for the Kuroshitsuji event in January so if we both get it, it'd be kinda funny to see him in Tokyo at the event XDD; I'm going to be teaching him on Friday so whee ^^;;

I stopped by a small department store looking for a person to alter a pair of suit pants but couldn't find one there. I was thinking of getting groceries but then I saw a cockroach scrabble across the floor right next to a dead one, and promptly left =__=; I did find another shop and it's going to cost $30 to get it done. I wish I hadn't lost that weight from 2.5 years ago, orz. I remember liking how that suit fit me... Ah well.

Random note- I have a huge thing for reincarnation and parallel worlds. I really need to stop starting new stories and just finish one. One goal for 2010- Finish Nagi and Sinclair's story!!!! Totally doable, if I stop being lazy and getting distracted >_>

How was everyone else's day?

Hung out with Motoshi in Shin Yokohama today. We ate lunch at the ramen museum. I bought a 1 year pass since it was only 800 yen (regular admission is 300 yen) and if I get hired by ArcSys, I might be going there now and then. X.D

No luck finding the Natsume Yuujinchou ichiban kuji during my trip because all the places I went either didn't have it or were sold out. =.( I did buy some Pino though. X.3 Black Thunder too!

At 4:30, I met up with Casey and we discussed some things about Arc. At 5 he took me up where Sugiyama san had me fill out a form and asked me some questions while explaining what my responsibilities would be. Basically I'll translate documents, possibly do some localization support, be a liaison between ArcSys and American companies, etc, etc. He even mentioned possible business trips to the U.S. .x_x One thing I'll definitely need to do is familiarize myself with games and certain gaming lingo.

Met the president of ArcSys. Laid back guy but it can be really hard to understand him if you're not paying attention because he doesn't speak up. Casey tells me when they have meetings and the president is talking, the people in the back can't hear what he's saying. .^^;

Anyway, if I get hired, I might start in January, assuming all the visa stuff gets cleared by then. HMM~~~ That would mean I could go to Hatano's signing event for his DVD! And maybe even his Animate talk show event? That's at the end of January though. The Yokohama Animate still has quite a few event tickets left. HMM!!!! X.DDD There are a bunch of female designers at Arc too. There's got to be a few seiyuu fans among them. X.3

They're supposed to be sending me some samples to test my translation skills soon. I guess if it arrives before I leave tomorrow then I can work on it on the plane.

So, had curry at a place inside Shin Yokohama Station. It was yummy. After that we all had to say our goodbyes. Motoshi was also leaving for home in Shiga so ya. On my way back, I accidentally got on the express train instead of the local so instead of going just one station like I needed to, the next stop was like... 4 or 5 stations away. .^^;;; Whoops!


And now here I am. My last night in Japan. I've gotta pack and look up the train schedule for tomorrow. Hauling PG 00-Raiser home is gonna be a pain in the ass. .^^;;


Today's purchases were Voice NewType and the Natsume Yuujinchou Official Fanbook. Was going to make some extra purchases so I could get that second keihin point (I'm about 5000 yen away) but then it seemed like they had taken down the Animate Gold Card exchange sign that I had seen the other day, which made me think maybe the exchange period was over. Now looking on the Animate website though it's until 12/31 and it doesn't say that there's any limit in quantities available at the store so HMM... Might go back to Animate to make some last minute purchases and get that card. Probably requires a Japanese address though. I'll see if I can use Casey's.


EDIT: Meh. Gold Card is suuryou gentei this time around too. Maybe that's why I didn't see the sign for it up at Animate today... They probably ran out. =.\

Hi tharr everyone!

I had a LJ account for a very long time but then stopped writing for some reason (mostly lack of motivation) but now Id love to get back to this fascinating world of journal writing and thought Id return here to my old stomping grounds to get started!

So, yeah Im 20 years and obsess over many fandoms indeed! occasionally I actually write something about my real life and I would love to read about yours too (although I really love fangirling as well:D). I study art history but id love to study something where I actually get to do some art and not just read about it.
Im also from Finland (of all places...) so anyone wanting to know if we actually have polar bears roaming the streets, now is your chance to find out! :D

This is the first time I knew Masami Okui and it brings back memories.
Anyone finish it? I didn't and I don't even remember what the story is.
But awesome opening for that era.

1) Didn't do 50,000 words in November of course - more like 5,000 - but that wraps Traffic which has been sitting around since '05, so I am content. XD (Well. It isn't technically wrapped, it still has to go to beta. But close enough for a Tuesday, and in any case I'm tired of plugging away at the thing ahahaha.)

2) Can't send out physical stuff this year so, hmm. If I signed up for your card exchange, request something here that I can provide via the internet/LJ, and I will do my best to incorporate it into my December advent thingy! The usual sort of thing, right - drabbles, mixtapes, meta, what have you.
